Academy Award winning French filmmaker, Michel Gondry, has recreated Martin Scorsese’s Taxi Driver, a psychological thriller film released in 1976. The ‘sweded’ version condenses the plot into a three-minute, low-budget mini-film. The original Taxi Driver contained extreme violence and references to drugs and prostitution. However, Gondry’s version is more comical and even kid-friendly where blood splatters are replaced with colorful paint, while bullets are shown as coloring pencils.

Gondry has directed many movies, including Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Science of Sleep and also the recent action flick, The Green Hornet.
