Twin Atlantic used their followers to help promote their new album by having them add a specific hashtag to their Instagram photos, creating a participatory campaign.

Instagram’s integration into Facebook is a positive sign for the platform, which boasts some 15 million users that have downloaded the photo-app on their iPhones. Scottish band, Twin Atlantic, decided to reward their fans with exclusive video and audio content for sharing Instagram images and hashtagging them with #freetwinatlantic when they post to Twitter. To encourage their fans to participate, they issued this statement:
