Korean car manufacturer Hyundai has managed to set up the world’s largest iPhone-controlled racing game in New York’s Times Square. This advertising campaign features an interactive game “HYUNDAI RACE” screened on the large, prominent video billboard.

By downloading an app on the Apple App Store and connecting to a dedicated Wi-Fi network, users can control the on-screen Hyundai Veloster car simply by tilting their iPhone. Time scores appear on the billboard after the race and are ranked among other players.

Passersby were immediately drawn to the campaign, which has generated a lot of foot-traffic and media attention for Hyundai. If you’re not in New York and would like to have a go, you can still download the game via the App Store.
