The photo sharing app now populates the social network with six photos per second. How will this affect this up-till-now exclusive online community?

Months ago, we reported on speculations that Facebook's leaked Photos application would ‘borrow' from, and directly compete with, Instagram. However, with Instagram's recent Facebook integration, photos shared to Facebook are automatically uploaded to an “Instagram Photos” album on the user's profile, and this only seems to be boosting the photo app. Instagram now populates Facebook with roughly six photos per second. According to VentureBeat, this translates into half a million Instagram photos contributed to Facebook per day.
