Does the new Mimomicro range point to the SD drive being used for more purposes than photo-uploading.

When we were at the CES 2012 show earlier this week we stopped by the Mimoco stand to see what new products they had been developing. The company is known for its fun, character-driven Mimobot USB flash-drives, but this year they have started to release a line of connectors that slot into the SD card in your computer.

This new Mimomicro range are still only connectors for USB drives — but we wonder if before long we will see the SD drive being used for more purposes than just photo-uploading.
