Virtual Cubes Link To Create Educational Game [Future Of Gaming]

In our research for the Future Of Gaming report, the PSFK consulting team explored the ways developers are making their games compelling and accessible to a wider audience. One example of innovation in Game Functionality and Systems is the Sifteo Cube– a modern update to children’s building blocks. These cubes feature a color digital display, sensor technology and an embedded computer system, allowing wireless interaction between the individual cubes. Cubes are able to sense one another based on proximity and update their content accordingly. The game set comes with the Sifteo creativity Kit, which allows users to create custom content using Siftrunner software installed on their computer. Users can then download games and send them to the cubes via a USB wireless link. Examples of games include LoopLoop for music composition and Matchination for puzzle solving.
