Airport Observation Deck Transformed Into An Information Environment
Zurich Airport's newly opened Observation Deck B gives travelers a real-time view of how the airport works.
Accessing information at an airport can sometimes be challenging. A recently opened observation deck at Zurich Airport offers travelers the opportunity to access content in unique new ways.
Four modified telescopes ( Airport Scopes) positioned around the deck allow users to pan around the airport grounds and see real -time information overlaid about specific flights and operations within terminal buildings. Information from the control tower is relayed to each of the Scopes about planes parked at each gate as well as those on taxi to takeoff or after landing.
