The iconic logo made from California poppies is illegal to dig up because legislature protects the state flower.

Creative designer Sean Click has used seed bombing to craft a McDonald’s ad in California that really lasts. His “McDonald’s X California Poppy Seed Bomb Ad” creation features the iconic golden arches logo made out of California poppies. As this is the state flower, it is illegal to dig up or destroy it, making the ad indestructible.

Seed bombing is a cheap, natural and effective way of spreading the word and is even more successful in this viral advertisement since the flower is protected by legislature. So if anyone is caught picking or digging up the poppies, they could find themselves paying a fine for breaking the law.
