Shaker, a virtual nightclub housed within Facebook, offers a space for fans to chat, watch videos and test their knowledge.

Israeli start-up company Shaker, which offers a virtual club inside Facebook where people can interact, teamed up with the NBA to create an online space for All-Star Game fans to chat, watch exclusive interviews and test each other's knowledge in the NBA's first ever online arena. This event integrated an online space for fan interaction with the real-world, broadcasted show.

During NBA All-Star 2012, which took place over the weekend, the NBA and Shaker hosted fans from all over the world and offered them a place to hang out. The application included a basketball arena and virtual rooms for Facebook users to chat, put their basketball trivia knowledge to the test against other fans, and watch exclusive interviews and highlights displayed on virtual screens.
