Hardcore music fans genuinely enjoy discovering new music before anyone else does. TastemakerX is leveraging this eagerness by giving credit and rewarding music seekers that identify a band before they hit the mainstream.

Securing $1.8 million from numerous investors, TastemakerX will be getting the opportunity to make a splash at SXSW this year. The app, which combines social media dynamics and mobile music, is still a mystery since no screenshots of the app have been revealed.
