Are British Beauty Brands Taking Over America? [Pics]

A number of British cosmetic brands are expanding to American shelves, according to a recent NY Times article. These products often offer heritage branding and a sense of elegance and etiquette that is becoming increasingly popular with Americans.

Increasing sales of fragrances and beauty products from the UK could be attributed to a rekindled interest in British royalty thanks to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding and the Queen’s Jubilee. Other factors such as the popular TV series Downton Abbey and the London Olympic Games could also be drawing Americans to British brands.
