Delta Air Lines is offering free wi-fi access to the online shopping network from its planes.

Delta Air Lines has announced this week that it will be offering free access for passengers to shop on Amazon.com and Amazonwireless.com via the in-flight wi-fi service available on over 800 of its aircraft. This will create new consumer touchpoints for Amazon and also add brand appeal to Delta.

To access Amazon while in-flight, passengers simply need to open their internet browser, access the Delta Connect wi-fi portal and click on one of the Amazon banners to begin shopping. Delta Connect also provides free access to real-time travel information and news content from The Wall Street Journal and People magazine. Delta's vice president of marketing and digital commerce, Bob Kupbens, said:
