The Hong Kong-based start-up ConnectCubed has created an online platform where users play assessment games to build and prove their skills in finance. Participants begin by signing up and building out a profile in order to participate in assessment games that help distinguish their skill-set. Financial institutions like banks and hedge funds will pay a fee to access the site’s database, while ConnectCube further sorts applicants through an algorithm that includes metrics ranging from skills to the ability to learn and adapt.
