As fashion enthusiasts gear down from London, Paris and Milan fashion weeks, most of them are forgetting about the more colorful and fun fashion festival. The Lakme Fashion Week is held twice a year in Mumbai, India. The recent event took place from 2-6 March and instead of designers featuring Fall/Winter collections, the theme was Summer/Resort. The monotones, heavy fabrics, and solid black prints, were replaced with beautiful sequins, gold ornaments, colorful silk fabrics and midriff bearing gowns.
