The sports brand has paired with Path, so users can share their runs and track real-time progress.

Social network Path has teamed up with Nike+ to add tech-enhanced and socialized fitness to the smart journal. The updated Path app will be integrated into the Nike+ running app and the Nike Fuel Band, allowing you to sync your account and automatically keep track of your runs.

Users will be able to post route maps to Path and track their progress along them in real-time. Path-connected friends will also be informed when you start a run and they can monitor and provide encouragement in the form of virtual cheering. If they add an emotion or comment on your run, you'll hear the sound of a real cheer. This sound will also play if you achieve a predetermined goal, such as your fastest pace or longest distance.
