Samsung Creates Android-Connected Infotainment For Toyota Cars

Another automotive-smartphone partnership is in the works as Samsung announces a collaboration with Toyota to create an integrated mobile services in-car solution.

Following Mercedes-Benz’s latest announcement to incorporate Apple’s Siri into its A-Class electronics system, Japanese automaker Toyota is now collaborating with Samsung to create an in-car solution that seamlessly connects Samsung smartphones to Toyota’s In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system. The electronics giant is working on the Samsung Car Mode Application that will integrate its state-of-the-art voice command technology, embedded within smartphones, to provide drivers with advanced functionality, navigation and location-based services.
