In the next decade, space travel will become the newest money maker destination.

George Nield, associate administrator for the FAA’s Office of Commercial Space Transportation testifies before the House Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics that “based on market studies, we expect to see [the space tourism industry] result in a $1 billion industry within the next 10 years.”  Commercial flight services are expected to begin in 2013 or 2014.
