Parents Keep Tabs On Their Teen Drivers With OnStar’s Vehicle Tracking Service

General Motors launches Family Link -- a GPS-based location service available on all equipped vehicles.

General Motors has recently launched a subsidiary service via its OnStar division that allows drivers to track family members via GPS. Family Link is available on all OnStar-equipped vehicles from GM’s lineup including Chevrolet, GMC, Buick and Cadillac. The location-based service will notify users of the specific location of each family member and alert them via email and text when the vehicle arrives at a location or at a specific time.
