Map European Fashion Color Trends In Real-Time
A revolutionary website tracks fashion trends in Paris, Milan, and Antwerp creating unique data visualizations.
If you’re the kind of person who always wants to wear the same hues of clothes as that of your surroundings or preferred fashion hotspots, then Pimkie Color Forecast is the perfect color trendspotting tool for you. The revolutionary service maps the dominant color trends of Paris, Milan, and Antwerp in real-time based on the clothes of pedestrians, which are caught by cameras installed in each city and rendered into pixels through a software developed by interactive artist and developer Pedro Miguel Cruz. Colors are then gathered into bulks of hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly trends and reflected on the Pimkie website for the viewer’s reference.
Finally, upon checking each city’s color trend, Pimkie maps out a wide selection of clothing that matches the trend and is available for online purchasing. As seen in the following images, today’s trends for Milan and Paris follow shades of red and red-orange, while Antwerp leans toward light violet.
