Electric vehicle charging companies collaborate, boosting a mobile platform that identifies outlets on a map and organizes the queue.

Fuji Electric Corporation is collaborating with Coulomb Technologies to integrate Coulomb’s ChargePoint Network and smartphone apps into its DC Quick Charging Stations, which provide a full charge to electric vehicles in around 60 mins. The ChargePoint Network is the largest network of independently owned charging stations in the world and it's mobile phone apps provide a solution to electric vehicle charging challenges.

ChargePoint-enabled Fuji Electric stations will be included on it's apps for iPhone, Android and Blackberry. These offer an easy way to locate stations near any specified address and provide drivers with turn-by-turn directions. The apps also allow drivers to utilize ChargePoint Network’s station reservation feature. This enables them to locate stations and make, view and cancel a reservation time slot directly from their smartphone. Electric vehicle drivers can access features including trip planning advice, managing the cost of charging, and finding and operating public ChargePoint-enabled stations.
