The i8 Spyder hybrid coupé also doubles as a personal transportation vehicle.

BMW's i8 Concept Spyder turned a few heads at Auto China last week in Beijing. The plug-in hybrid coupé isn't only just impressive with its sleek, futuristic design, but it also has a pair of electric stand-on scooters underneath a glass panel in the rear. The dual-mode of transport is perfect for cities with condensed population such as in China, where a scooter might be more efficient to get around in the smaller streets and congested traffic areas.

The i8 vehicle is powerful in performance and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just five seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h. When the battery is fully charged, the car can travel up to 30 km on electric power alone.
