'I Wish I Said Hello' brings the stories of the online love classifieds to the analog world through the use of stickers.

Craigslist ‘Missed Connections' are the modern equivalent of a message in a bottle – serendipity is the aim, though there is a small chance of success. Their very existence offers hope to people looking to meet the love of their life by chance. Lisa Park and Adria Navarro, two graduate students from NYU's Interactive Telecommunications program bring these chance encounters to life with their  ‘I Wish I Said Hello‘ project.

The six pieces are stickers that incorporate elements of everyday public signage but their colors imply the digital origin of the story. They are placed at the exact location where the Missed Connection happened. Currently installed all over Manhattan, the goal is to spark a movement that will spread to other cities. We love how this project addresses the irony of permanent connection by bringing intimate online messages to public spaces, while offering another way for the recipient to see it.
