Moda Operandi lets consumers pre-order fashion from runway shows seasons ahead.

Moda Operandi lets consumers pre-order fashion from the runway before it is even made. Taking a different route to today’s fast fashion business model, designers only make the clothing that’s pre-ordered, and shoppers buy the items knowing they will have to wait for them to be produced. This helps to assess real-time demand and eliminates inventory challenges for retailers.

Moda Operandi is the first online luxury retailer to offer this service, and is the brainchild of founders Aslaug Magnusdottir and Lauren Santo Domingo. Visitors can view and pre-order fashions from the latest collections at runway shows and showrooms worldwide, months before the official shopping season for those fashions begins.
