Vogue To Stop Using Too Skinny Underage Models [Headlines]

Fashion magazine places ban on hiring girls younger than 16 and girls who are unnaturally thin.

Starting in June, Vogue editors worldwide will no longer hire models who are younger than 16 and will also stop hiring models who appear to have an eating disorder. In a recent statement, Jonathan Newhouse said the move was to show readers the magazine’s commitment to their models’ health and to show readers their commitment to promoting a healthy body image.  NY Times
