Passersby can now look for local offers with these public multi-touch screens.

The deal-of-the-day website is expanding its presence from online to offline. This week, Groupon deployed a few multi-touch displays around Chicago. Passersby have access to all the local offers on Groupon Now at a touch of a button. The geo-targeted deals include discounts on food, drinks, and entertainment.

The digital campaign was aided by Elevate Digital and Tribune Media Services. George Burciaga, CEO of Elevate Digital, explained that:

Our technology is allowing companies to break out of traditional marketing and advertising approaches and engage people in a different space while continuing to generate and build revenue.
