JetBlue Launches A Live Online Game Show

Contestant can win a vacation and the airline will promote its holiday deals in the process.

JetBlue is launching an online game show that will be streamed five times a day for five days (June 18th-22nd) live from a New York studio. ‘JetBlue Getaways Present Get Away With It’ aims to use gamification to engage consumers and promote its vacation packages with new media integration.

The NY Times reports that the 15-minute episodes will playfully nod to classic game shows of the past, with a slick host, a beautiful assistant, and a retro feel. Real contestants will answer questions about travel and JetBlue travel packages, for prizes including vacations and certificates for popular destinations. The game show will also feature mobile and social media elements involving Buzzfeed, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and new app Viggle, which will allow people to check-in and earn points for watching.
