For beginners learning the guitar, it usually involves countless of hours trying to memorize where your fingers are placed. The Fretlight system hopes to make learning the instrument much more easier and faster by embedding LED lighting into the neck of the guitar. The LEDs light up to show learners which strings to place the fingers on. It’s a great system for guitar students who want to self-teach themselves without having to pay for private lessons.

Furthermore, the lights on a Fretlight guitar are only triggered by its video-based lessons and/or its computer software. An entry-level Fretlight guitar retails for $399.99, while a professional model will cost $1199.99.
