3D artist Ben Koppel and photographer Giles Revell captured the real movements of the athletes and then styled them to create a swirling image.

London-based branding agency BEAR created a relevant new identity for British Gymnastics featuring swirling red and blue graphics that both draw inspiration from and represent the movements of gymnasts. They called upon photographer Giles Revell and CGI artist Ben Koppel and used motion capture images of real gymnasts to create the stylized graphics.

We felt passionately that our new identity should convey human movement. BG should look fresh and dynamic – it should feel alive. To achieve this, we created our own set of unique images and animation. Each image is ‘motion captured’ from real gymnastic movements including twists, somersaults, flips and tumbles.
