PSFK Coverage Of The 2012 London Olympics

As part of the London Olympics, Adidas unveiled a pop-up photo booth in Westfield Stratford City that allowed shoppers to have their photos snapped to show their support for Great Britain’s team. However, some of the shoppers didn’t know that well-known soccer player, David Beckham, was going to make a surprise visit and also jump into the photo booth with them.

Most of the shoppers were astonished when they saw the celebrity superstar, especially the 12-year-old boy who immediately broke down in tears. The mother of child, Elaine Lewis, commented that,

My son starting crying and it made me cry too. It was absolutely amazing.

Adidas is an Olympic sponsor, and is also one of Beckham’s sponsors. That day, Beckham posed with around 60 fans at the booth, and told reporters that,

It was a unique experience for me and the people who took park. There were some great reactions when we surprised them.
