Last week, Mayor Bloomberg announced adAPT NYC, a competition to design an efficient 300 sq.ft. apartment; if the plan catches on and zoning regulations are changed to accommodate the smaller sizes, landlords will be able to continue charging exorbitant rates while apartments will get smaller and smaller.
