Puma is no new-comer to the world of unique brand collaborations. The sports footwear brand recently paired up with MINI for a line of clothing that incorporate stylistic elements comprising of a British theme and a compact theme to reinforce the small but efficient nature of the iconic MINI car.

This collaboration is part of a long-term partnership where various clothing and fashion accessories will be made available at key MINI dealerships and Puma retail outlets around the world. The merchandise plays on one of the key selling features of Mini: that it’s compact yet spacious. Brand Republic’s Chris J. Reed points out that:

The MINI tie-up makes even more sense when you realise that 25% of Puma is owned by French luxury retail group PPR who own brands such as Gucci, YSL, Sergio Rossi, Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen.

This is one partnership worth keeping an eye on. Click here for further great marketing and advertising ideas from Puma on PSFK.
