A manufacturers of bike products and accessories have recently unveiled the Joule 3, one of the most lightest and smallest dynamo hub currently available in the market. The hub by BioLogic fits on any front bike wheel and can power headlights or even battery-powered mounts as the user cycles. Essentially, a cyclist can charge their smartphone as they go from point A to point B.

The Joule 3 is ultra-compact, weighing only 363 grams. It’s available in disc and non-disc brake versions, and was a winner at the 2012 Eurobike Award. Watch the video below for a demonstration.
