The Form 1 is an affordable, high-resolution desktop 3D printer that seeks to rival the output of high-end printers at a fraction of the cost. The easy-to-use system is an alternative to the recently released Replicator 2 by Makerbot. It was designed by former researchers at the MIT Media Lab who became frustrated by the fact that professional-quality 3D printers are really expensive and difficult to use.
