Following the popularity of the Moment Factory’s work with artists like Madonna, Cirque du Soleil, and Nine Inch Nails, the new media studio was invited to create a living fresco on the facade of Barcelona’s famous cathedral, Sagrada Família, designed by Antonio Gaudí. The cathedral, whose conception dates back to 1882, is still a work in progress — architects who worked with Gaudí continued to build after his death and carried his vision by word of mouth. The cathedral is to be completed in 2026.

Mirroring the vigor and passion that has fueled the continued building process and ongoing restoration, funded by donations, the cities of Barcelona and Montreal invited Moment Factory to create a 15-minute tribute to the church. The event, titled “Ode à la Vie,” took place from September 21st-23rd. The video below shows an abbreviated demo of the presentation.
