The Contour+2 camera captures a 1st person view of adventure sports, making it easy for anyone to film their experience and track their distance, speed, and elevation.

Seattle-based Contour has announced a new gadget for capturing and sharing action moments. The Contour+2 is a helmet-mounted video camera with a GPS receiver that enables users to shoot 1080p HD video of their adventures. The camera also overlays the footage with speed, distance, and elevation stats.

The new camera, which will be available later this month for $399, also makes it easy to share data-rich content across YouTube, Vimeo, and Facebook. The Contour+2 also features one-button recording, live streaming, and the ability to use a smartphone as a remote control and viewfinder thanks to built-in Bluetooth technology. A 60-meter waterproof case is included so users can shoot their underwater adventures.
