Vapor Apparel is launching the environmentally-friendly ECO Spin 100% recycled performance fabric, which is made from plastic and furniture found in landfills.

Colombia-based Vapor Apparel is due to launch a new 100% recycled fabric at the EcoPrint show in Berlin this week. The company, a leader in sustainable high-quality performance fabrics, will use the fabric for a new line called ‘ECO Spin.' It has a cotton-like feel and is made from reclaimed plastic and furniture found in landfills.

Gizmag notes that because the fiber is airjet spun, it offers lots of eco-friendly benefits over other methods such as being more efficient and requiring fewer production stages. Jackson Burnett, president and co-founder of Vapor Apparel, said:
