Pardon me – are you friends with Grey Poupon? The mustard company with the famous tagline is hosting a speculative application process for any Facebook user who wishes to ‘friend’ the brand on Facebook and reap the rewards of becoming a member.

After a 15 year hiatus from mass marketing, the company’s new tagline, ‘Spread good taste,’ is the guiding qualification on the Facebook application, which uses an algorithm to interpret your percentage of good taste. Applicants are reviewed based upon the following categories: “proper use of grammar, art taste, restaurant check-ins, books read and movie selections, to name a few.”

We decided to take the challenge and didn’t know whether to be amused or honored to learn that we scored in the top 92 percentile and were admitted to join the society.

Try it for yourself at their Facebook page – if you’re rejected, simply ‘refine’ your profile and try again. Pinterest users can also look for special offers and recipes from Grey Poupon.
