Healthy Brains for Children hopes to raise awareness on the adverse effects of alcohol consumption while carrying a child.

To highlight the dangers of drinking while pregnant, the non-profit group Healthy Brains for Children has installed up to 100 pregnancy test vending machine in local bars around Minneapolis, USA. For $3, the machine will dispense a pregnancy test, similar to tampon dispensers found in female restrooms.

Healthy Brains for Children hopes the dispensers will create awareness to help prevent prenatal exposure to alcohol, which can have an adverse effect to the brain development of an unborn child, and can even lead to a miscarriage.
