The Tiffin Box Project in Canada aims to reduce waste in the restaurant industry by rewarding diners who use a TO GO box instead of a plastic or disposable one.

The Tiffin Project in Vancouver, Canada is an initiative that offers customers discounts on take-away at a group of participating restaurants while also reducing the number of disposable containers used. Those who donate $25 to the Tiffin Project receive a reusable TO GO container that will not only help to lessen their yearly takeout waste (while rewarding them with discounts!), but will also benefit local restaurants.

The Tiffin Project donates $4 from the sale of each container to The Tiffin Project Foundation Fund, which helps its partner restaurants source more of their menu ingredients from local producers.  Discounts for patrons at participating restaurants range from special deal days to 10% off every order.
