Instead of having to set your watch when you travel, the Seiko Astron uses a processor and GPS radio to pinpoint its location and change the time.

The Seiko Astron automatically adjusts to different time zones so no matter where you are, it always tells you the correct time. The watch’s quartz movement is connected to a custom circuit board with a processor and GPS radio. The processor features a world map made up of quadrants, which are each associated with one of the currently recognized 39 time zones on earth.

Once a day, the radio turns on and pinpoints the watch’s location even if you are on the move, by connecting with four or more satellites. The hands then adjust to the correct local time, so you don’t have to set your watch when you travel.
