LIFX is ‘the light bulb reinvented’ and claims to be ‘the smartest light bulb you’ve ever experienced.” The lightweight multi-colored bulb is WiFi-enabled  and sets up in seconds just by simply replacing existing bulbs. The light bulbs can be controlled using a free app downloaded to a smartphone, which allows the user to turn it on and off, adjust the brightness, and even change the colors of the lighting. In addition, the user can set the lights to automatically turn on and off at given times.
