The workplace social networking tool now offers a sentiment-aware app through a partnership with Kanjoya Crane.

In the latest update to its platform, Yammer, a private social network for workplaces added an app from Kanjoya Crane that allows employers to analyze public conversations to understand the prevailing emotional sentiment of their staff.  Crane’s product was recently used by the L.A. Times to track emotional reactions to GOP primary candidates across social medis sites such as Twitter.

Using the Crane app within Yammer will provide immediate insights into how employees ‘feel’ about recent announcements and company changes. Kanjoya explains the advantages of Crane to Yammer administrators on their website:
