Apple honors their company's visionary one year after his death.

One year ago today, the world lost a famous visionary and the driving force behind a company that has been called the best designer of the past century. Steve Jobs, CEO and co-founder of Apple, died of pancreatic cancer at age 65 on October 5, 2011. Tim Cook, the current CEO of Apple, gave this statement in honor of the anniversary:

Steve’s passing one year ago today was a sad and difficult time for all of us. I hope that today everyone will reflect on his extraordinary life and the many ways he made the world a better place.
