The RTM (Retail Teller Machine) from software company KAL is secure, inexpensive to run, and allows customers to receive money from inside stores.

The global software company KAL’s Retail Teller Machine (RTM) is a cashless ATM that can be installed inside stores. It prints out a unique voucher for customers, which they can then take to the counter and exchange for cash.

The retailer is immediately compensated through a back-to-back transaction, and the dispensed amount goes into their bank account. The secure machines run the same software as ATMs, and provide a full range of banking services, including the ability to video conference with a bank call center. RTMs operate at one tenth of the cost of bank ATMs and don’t require regular maintenance or armored services. KAL’s CEO, Aravinda Korala, said:
