Frontman Justin Vernon has teamed up with Master Luthier Gordy Bischoff to make a baritone instrument that will be auctioned off for charity.

Singer-songwriter Justin Vernon, the frontman of Bon Iver, has teamed up with longtime friend and Master Luthier Gordy Bischoff to create a baritone guitar made with original white oak wood from Bushmills Irish Whiskey Barrels. The guitar, named ‘The 1608‘, is a collaborative release for ‘Since Way Back’. This program celebrates groups of friends whose shared experiences and influences are now shaping pop culture, giving them the opportunity to develop unique pieces that reflect their passions.
