Livescribe’s Sky wi-fi smartpen makes it possible to take written or audio notes during a meeting and send them directly to your Evernote account.

Livescribe is launching a new digital pen, the ‘Sky wi-fi smartpen’, which works with proprietary physical notebooks to automatically send handwritten notes to Evernote. It also records and sends audio notes, securely storing them so they are available to search, play back, organize, and share. The new pen enables people to conveniently access their written notes and recorded audio on tablets, smartphones, and computers.

Content that is created and captured with the Sky wi-fi smartpen wirelessly syncs with their Evernote account as a new note. Notes are searchable by tags, titles, and keywords, and they can be shared via email, Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn. The new 2GB pen will cost $170, with 4GB ($200) and 8GB ($250) versions also available. Gilles Bouchard, Livescribe chairman and CEO, said:
