Hajdu Bence has ‘removed’ the characters from famous works of art to create ‘Abandoned Paintings’, which reveal different perspectives.

Hungarian art student Hajdu Bence has removed the subjects from famous paintings to show a different perspective on the scenes. ‘Abandoned Paintings’ includes reimagined versions of The Last Supper and Seaport with the Embarkation of St. Ursula, with the characters erased so only the scenery and architecture remain. Bence told designboom:

I decided to erase all the characters from them and examine how the painter really created the perspective space and how it actually looks. I saw this could be something exciting and continued thinking and working on it. After a while I found myself interested in the new atmosphere and the new thoughts the retouched pieces generated without their main subjects.
