How Will Online Shopping Affect This Year’s Holiday Shopping? [Infographic]

A new infographic details the importance of mobile electronic commerce, or "couch commerce" to this year's Xmas rush.

Where will you shop for your holiday gifts this year? Will you brave the malls and stores or take the increasingly popular route of eCommerce, buying gifts online? According to statistics from, 50% of Americans own smartphones and 20% own tablets, tablets being the favorite medium for mobile shopping.

The holiday season could make or break a business’s profits, so the fact that less than a third of companies have working mobile strategies could be fairly detrimental to U.S. economy. In an effort to inform the public and offer practical, working solutions for those who are still designing their mobile interfaces, has created an infographic that details the process and predicted profits of successful, mobile companies. With the prediction that mobile commerce will account for 6% of all electronic commerce by 2016, companies should get working on their mobile presence, if they want to retain profits.
