Virtual Shopping Is The Future Of Retail – Mikko Martikainen, Sayduck Ltd. [Video]
The CEO introduces the mobile app that will change the way that we buy.
At PSFK CONFERENCE LONDON, Mikko Martikainen, co-founder and CEO of Sayduck Ltd., addressed the inconveniences of online shopping, especially when purchasing larger objects, like furniture. How will things actually look in your home? Will they match existing decor? Sayduck’s new augmented reality app lets you see potential items in a 3-D space – actual size and with options. This brings together the convenience of online shopping and the security of purchasing objects in a store.
The app also has animations that can further help you decide if an object will truly measure up – for example, the lights of a digital lamp could turn on and off, you could see a table expand and follow step-by-step assembly instructions in real time.
Some highlights from the talk:
- The shopping experience can be improved by augmenting online shopping with digital image technology.
- This app could revolutionize the way we shop for furniture, electronics, home goods and more.
