The community site suggested places to visit on a road trip for the new digital show airing on YouTube.

Zach Anner won the chance to have his own travel show on the OWN network but the show was canceled due to poor ratings. With help from Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, Anner and his friends are now starring in a new travel show powered by the internet. For Riding Shotgun, they visited eight cities in six weeks, which were voted for by the Reddit community.

Mashable reports that the group sought out local redditors to give their take on each city, and the new series is the first to have an official branded subreddit. The first episode of the road trip across the U.S. and Canada premiered on YouTube yesterday, after the group released a number of teaser videos of their antics to keep viewers updated on their journey.
